ZEKLE was the best band Haiti ever had.

The group ZEKLE was the most professional band that HAITI ever had since 1804. The brother Widmaier (Mushi and Joel) are very educated when it comes to music.

During the years 1982 and 1986 when computer was not that popular in Haiti, the Widmaier was already on top of it. They brought the first computerized sounds in our music.

Amelie, Gagne and many other songs of Zekle sound amazing.

Mushi is one of the top pianists around; Joel inspired a whole generation.

After releasing the first album, most singers were trying to sing like Joel, it was like a revolution in our music industry.

Nobody knew before that Compas would sound a different way, a smoother Compas with tenderness and harmony.

The mass was not too happy about it because the sound and the approach was different and some people said that it was not Compas.

What we need to understand as a nation, the most popular of our Artists are not Musicians, they do not have a clue about music and they are considered as the Superstars.

Great players like Reginald Polycard, Boulot Valcourt, Eddy Brisseaux and many others are not considered as Superstars, the ones who do not know anything about music ont fait la pluie et le beau temps sur le marche Haitien.

C'est ce qui prouve que la majeure partie de notre population reste aveugle dans le monde musicale.

If the Haitian peoples knew about music that much, why do they support the ones who are not musicians and ignore the ones who really know about music.

The great Beethovas Obas is a great song writer, a world top performer, a world top guitar player; most Haitian people do not know his standard.

His shows are sold in less than an hour in France and elsewhere, a few Haitians show up for his shows in New York, Miami, Boston, Connecticut etc. The same Haitians would pay $50 at the door to applaud somebody who does not have a hint about music.

Jacques Sauveur Jean is an excellent singer, he can really sing, not a joker; the majority of the Haitian population does not know about it. They know and hear that Jacques can sing but do not know for sure that he is very good at it. To tell you the truth, most Haitians go with the flow, this is not their fault, learning starts from birth.

Great societies know about it; in the cartoon business, the editors play the best music for the future generations.

At 18 years old, one cannot fool these people in music because their education has been done since watching Cartoon.

The only good and valuable Artist chosen by the Haitians is Emeline Michele excluded the compas Artists because there are lots of good Artists in the Compas business.

To be a Haitian star, you do not have to know about music; if the crowd loves you, you can play anything you want and you don't have to worry about it.
