Marc Mathelier, a native of Monrovia, Liberia was born of Haitian parents.

While maintaining an active performance schedule he provides ever-constant support to a number of non-profit organizations and fundraisers.

Among his many community contributions Mathelier is one of the host of Perspectives Haitiennes (Cultural Segment/91.5 fm NY), and Cheche Konnin (Cable TV Show in Rockland County, NY).

Marc specializes, on the guitar, in the adaptation of Haitian traditional music in the tradition of Frantz Casseus and Amos Coulanges.

His adaptations represent dialogues created from ideas common to Haitian contemporary and folk lifestyles.

In addition to his 1998 CD: Sounds and Legends, in collaboration with YAMA Productions, in 1986 Marc released an earlier CD: Apre Midi Anba Tonel.

In 1996 Marc Mathelier, Author wrote Essai Bibliographique Sur La Vie De Frantz Casseus.

In 2003 Marc Mathelier, Composer contributed his original music to several CD poetry projects including the works of Angelucci Manigat.

Jr., Charlot Lucien and Janie Bogart.

A winner of numerous awards, Marc has concertized with taste in Brazil, Liberia, Haiti and in the United States on the distinguished stages of Carnegie Hall & Town Hall among others.

Currently, Marc works as a chemist for Reckitt Benckiser located in Montvale, NJ. He resides in Warwick, New York.
